Maria Gusmao (or "Cida" as her friends call her) is a missionary to her own people in Brazil. She works under Bible Centered Ministries out of Pennsylvania, and has a vast ministry going in both the urban and rural settings of Brazil. We were fortunate enough to have her visit & share with our church family on May 24th, 2009. In the near future, we'll be sending a group down to help out and to learn from each other.

Prayer Requests

Pray for the Camp Ministry. They run week-long summer camps each targeted to a certain group. They have kids’ camps, young adults’ camps, an English camp, etc.

Pray especially for those in challenging situations to see God’s love– one of the camps will minister to the homeless, drug dealers, gang members, prostitutes, etc.

Pray for the Bible Clubs. Cida and her helpers go into the schools to keep in touch with the children.

Pray for the Training Center. Christians are being equipped to do God’s work in these various ministries.

Pray for their countryside evangelism. They occasionally travel to other cities to preach the gospel and train workers.
