A Note From the Pastor:
“Apparently, the door of the prison was really unlocked all the time; but it was only you who thought of trying the handle. Now we can all come out.”
I know what it’s like to be in prison – the spiritual kind, anyway. The kind constructed out of the bricks and bars of our selfishness and foolishness. I am deeply indebted to those who showed me the way out. And it was so obvious – why couldn’t I see it during the time of my incarceration? I still remember where the handle is.
If you would like to talk about it, I will try to point out the spiritual insights about Jesus and Christianity that others have given to me. This way, we can all come out together.
What is a Christian?
Someone better at this than I am explained that the gospel comes to you and announces that, on the one hand, you are more sinful and wicked than you ever thought, and yet at the same time you are more loved and cherished than you ever dreamed. Jesus Christ lived the life you should have lived and died the death that you should have died. A Christian is someone who believes this grace and is being transformed by this love.
What is Cornerstone?
We are an intergenerational church rooted in historic, biblical Christianity, located in a charming town – Skippack- near a large, north eastern city - Philadelphia. We know what it is to sin, to fail, to be hurt, to have hurt others, to be forgiven, to receive and learn to give love and grace, to find joy and hope, to discover and be changed by truth, to be generous, patient, humble (hopefully), prayerful, and intent on knowing and serving God. You’ll have to experience what I am trying to explain here.
Accessibility
We're friendly to those who have accessibility needs, and we'd love to help anyone get here for a meeting or service. Call the office for more details. The church building is rather easy to find – situated on Skippack Pike (Route 73) just east of the village of Skippack.
